This new release is a fix to the error saying “Unexpected Entity” and “Unexpected SpriteSet“. A small bug but serious one.
As if it really took Krixware almost 6 months to release the latest KonsolScript engine.
After having an almost stable KonsolScript engine, the development has been focused on creating a faster scripting engine… — notice I didn’t say better game engine?
Quixie has also undergone optimization. Current improvements execute Math benchmarks to 2-2.5s from 9.897294s. Yet, Quixie is not yet ready for release because of SIGSEGV problem — though you can always build the source from its CVS repository and test it for yourselves.
All these current developments in KonsolScript has been silently progressed while having a full time job as a Game Programmer.
Speaking of which, I was invited to talk about Basics in Game Programming and KonsolScript was finally introduced and successfully presented last 28th of February 2008 in the State University of Nueva Vizcaya. (’will post more about this later) Looking forward to collaborate with them to further develop KonsolScript.
